Welcome to my website. I allergy am an Allergist in private practice with the.
Allergy and Asthma Center of Austin in Austin, Texas. I became an Allergist because I grew up with allergies and asthma and know how these illnesses can affect someone. I feel it is very important to control allergies and asthma so a person can enjoy a happy, healthy life without significant restrictions on activities.allergy
It is especially important to recognize and treat allergies in children. Undertreated or untreated allergies are proven to impair learning, reduce workplace productivity and decrease the quality of life of the allergy sufferer.
I was born in Alabama and raised in Austin. I attended the University of Texas in Austin and UT Medical School in Galveston.
I completed my Residency in Internal Medicine at Scott and White Hospital in Temple and my Allergy Fellowship at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. I am Board Certified in both Allergy and Immunology and Internal Medicine.
Prior to returning to Austin in 1991 I was in practice in Columbia, South Carolina and. My practice is located just 7 miles from the home in which I grew.
Though Austin has grown tremendously since the 1960s it is still my favorite place to live and work. I am married and have two grown children and two dogs; a standard poodle and a brussels grifon.
My favorite hobby is music (I play in a Rock and Roll band, Code Blue ). I have appeared on kvue news for a number of years.
I see patients age six and older for all types of allergic problems. In Austin we most commonly treat people for Cedar Fever during December and January and other seasonal allergy problems (especially during the Spring and Fall). Austin is known as The Allergy Capital of the World.
I think it often seems to be the Allergy Capital of the Known Universe. In addition I treat people with asthma, hives, allergic rashes, and allergy to drugs, foods and stinging insects.
